31 Happiness + Gratitude Journal Prompts for your Planner or Bullet Journal
Do you want to incorporate daily gratitude practice in your planner or Bullet Journal but don’t have time to commit to lengthy journaling? Good news…expressing gratitude doesn’t have to be a 2 page essay. You can celebrate those sparkly moments of happiness and thanks each day with just a few words. And it can be done in your planner. Now doesn’t that make you happy?
CREATE A MEMORY STATEMENT
Typically, expressing gratitude in a journal involves a lot of writing and sharing of thoughts. This is great if you enjoy writing and have time to do it. But if we are limited by time and journaling space we need to simplify the process. So instead of thinking about a long descriptive story, think descriptive phrases.
If your moment of happiness was finding a perfect pair of shiny red heels to go with your favorite dress write…”Happiness is Shiny Red Shoes”.
If you are thankful for your fabulous family write…”Thankful for my loving family”.
These short little phrases or statements will help you remember those special moments and events. If you wish to expand on them later with journaling you can. But for now we have a daily happiness or gratitude statement that can be quickly and easily added to your planner or Bullet Journal.
For example, this post was inspired by this little fella…the cute concrete pear.
I was meant to be taking pictures of some stickers but instead I was totally distracted by my little concrete pear that I have drawn a face on. He makes me happy. If I’m cranky or tired, I look at his little face and it cheers me up. Could I write a whole journal entry on why he makes me happy and why I’m thankful that he sits on my desk? Probably. But to be honest I don’t want to break down why a concrete pear makes me happy. He just does. So if I write in my planner…Happiness is Mr Pear + his cute face…I have all I need to think of him and how it makes me feel.
Now it’s your turn. What are you thankful for? What makes you happy? And how can you express it in a statement?
